Welcome to Tdoor!
<H>elp
Help, this file you are now viewing....
<K>
Keyword searches are performed by searching the file descriptions.
You can enter whole or partial words for your search criteria.
<S>
Filename searches are performed on valid DOS filenames only. The use
of wildcards are acceptable, ie., Play*.doc, Play*.zip or *.doc ...etc.
<L>
List Files will display all available file areas that you have access
to, you can then press a letter or symbol designating the file area
you desire and it will display to contents and descriptions to you.
Tagging Files for Download (d/l) while <L>isting files
<T>ag/UnTag
With TDoor's new "Tagging" feature you no longer need to enter
a filename when listing files.
This feature only works with ANSI mode. If you want to tag
a file(s) to put in your d/l queue, use the arrow keys to move
the big block cursor to go to the files you want to d/l. Then
hit <T>ag to mark the file for D/l. You can use this until you
reach your daily file download k limit. If you cannot use the
arrow keys, you may use "A" or "B", which has the same result.
Tags: 0 Tag K: 0 Limit K:1500 DLTime: 0 RemTime: 119
D-ownload U-pload V-iew Zip -Scroll T-ag/Untag C-lr Tags Q-uit C/R >
TDoor keeps a list of your "Tagged" file(s) in a queue till you
d/l them. If you abort your d/l, or something goes array, you'll
get another chance at it. You may tag as many files you like
(up to 30) till your d/l limit or time limit is reached, at this
time the tag key will not function. When you are done tagging a
screen, hit the Enter key and continue listing the file areas,
you can change areas and continue tagging.
The Tagged files are lost if you skip the Tag D/L and use regular
D/L. You will be prompted to use Tag D/L automatically if you have any
Tagged files in memory. Hitting <C>lr Tags will clear all tagged files.
If Tag a file by accident, make sure the block cursor is on that file
and press "T" again and TDoor will un-tag that single file.
<D>
Download files (Send Files from me to you)... this will display
the available protocols that you can use to transfer files from this
system to yours. If you had previously tagged files you will be
prompted whether or not to use the tagged file list after you select
the desired protocol. You also have 2 options to logoff after you
complete your d/l... <G>oodbye option gives you 15 seconds to abort
the logoff. <S>ounds Alarm option logs you off immediately after
the d/l is complete and sounds an Alarm on the remote end.
<U>
Upload (Send files from your system to mine). Tdoor will search all of
the file areas if you perform a single file upload to check for a
duplicate. If one is found, you will not be allowed to upload that
file. If you perform a batch style upload (multipule files), you will
be prompted for descriptions only after Tdoor validates the uploaded
files. Any files already found on the system will be moved to a holding
directory for review. Tdoor will also check for corrupted archives,
convert all archives to the BBS's default archive format and test for
viruses using McAfee's latest version of Scan.Exe
<N>
New Files Search, will display the last date you were online and give
you the option to change that date... once an acceptable date is entered
or the one presented by Tdoor is accepted by pressing <ENTER>, Tdoor
will search all the file areas you have access to for files from that
date to date and display.
<V>
View Archives, will load an external archive viewing program to allow
you to view the internals of the archives on this system. Use the Help
section within to further your advantages of that versitle software.
<Y>
Your File Transfer Stats are displayed... this contains:
